Indian Left-Arm Spinner Ruled Out Of England Tour

Shuchi Upadhyay sustained a left shin injury, which was diagnosed during the pre-tour camp at the BCCI COE

India Women’s left-arm spinner Shuchi Upadhyay has been ruled out of the white-ball tour of England due to a left shin injury. India have replaced her with another left-arm spinner - Radha Yadav.

“Shuchi was ruled out of the tour after sustaining a left shin injury, which was diagnosed during the pre-tour camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru,” said the BCCI via a press release.

Upadhyay, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, has played one ODI for India, making her debut against South Africa in May this year. Meanwhile, Radha has featured in seven ODIs and 84 T20Is for India.

India Women and England Women will first play a five-match T20I series, starting on June 28, before the three-match ODI series gets underway on July 16.
