
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 saw a lot of players from Madhya Pradesh play for a lot of teams. A total of 10 players from the state were part of IPL 2025, which included the likes of Ashutosh Sharma, who is from MP, but plays for Railways, and Rajat Patidar, who lifted the cup for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as captain.
The second season of the Madhya Pradesh League is here, and once again, eyes will be set on big names to pull the crowds to the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.

Arshad Khan
Arshad Khan, who got into the limelight with his time at the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2024, was one of the key figures for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025. The left-arm pacer has already played 25 T20s, with 19 of them being played in the IPL.
Aniket Verma
One of the brightest products of the MP League, Aniket Verma, is now one of its brand ambassadors, returning to it as a star from Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.
Avesh Khan
Having already played for the country in the white-ball format, Avesh Khan is one of the biggest stars in Madhya Pradesh. Avesh has experience of 33 international matches and 76 IPL games to go along with his massive first-class experience.
Saumy Pandey
If Avesh was one of the biggest stars of the U-19 World Cup of 2016, Saumy Pandey got that tag from the 2024 edition, claiming 18 wickets in just seven games, just behind leading wicket-taker Kwena Maphaka.
Harpreet Singh
Harpreet Singh, one of the most experienced players in the MP cricket set-up, got IPL exposure through Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. He was also part of the Pune Warriors India and Kolkata Knight Riders before that, and is one of the big names in the MP League.
Kuldeep Sen
Kuldeep Sen, the speedster who was one of the breakout stars for the IPL team Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022 and then did well in 2024, will be the face of Chambal Ghariyals alongside Harpreet in the MP League 2025. He has already made his India debut.
Rajat Patidar
Now, Rajat Patidar doesn’t need any introduction. He is the captain of the reigning IPL champions and one of the most followed teams - Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He even has a nickname now - RAPA is what they call him.
Akash Raghuvanshi
Akash Raghuvanshi might not be a known entity as of now, but those who follow cricket will know that this man was very instrumental in Madhya Pradesh lifting their maiden title in 2022.
Venkatesh Iyer
Sold as one of the most expensive players in IPL history at 23.75 Cr, Venakatesh Iyer might not have had the season he would have liked to with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), but come the MP League, and he would want to forget the IPL and lead his side Indore Pink Panthers to the title, which they could not win last time around, losing in the final.
Kulwant Khejroliya
Kulwant Khejroliya is another U-19 star who failed to convert his potential to performance and has to now grind it hard in domestic cricket to try and remain relevant. But despite that, the 33-year-old has been part of five IPL teams and played for three of them, making him one of the most recognisable faces in the MP League 2025.
Saransh Jain
One of the hardest-working off-spinners in the country, Saransh Jain has already climbed the ladder up to India A and Duleep Trophy level. He has even been part of the Rest of India team in Irani Trophy, making him one of the big names in the MP League.
Rahul Batham
Rahul Batham, another one of the MP players, who has grown from the U-19 level and gone on to represent the state team. Batham is an all-rounder and was part of the MP team that played the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024-25 final against Mumbai.
Kumar Kartikeya
Kumar Karetikya Singh, the second-highest wicket-taker in SMAT last season, has already played for the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.
Shivam Shukla
The highest wicket-taker in MP League 2024, Shivam Shukla, eventually got the IPL contract, albeit as an injury replacement for KKR’s Rovman Powell. However, he could not feature in any matches. But he is a big player now for sure, having been part of the MP side in SMAT 2024-25.
