The domestic leagues are running wild post the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. There are nearly seven T20 leagues simultaneously happening across the country, with the T20 Mumbai League being at the forefront.
The T20 Mumbai League, which started on June 4 (Wednesday) saw eight teams fight it out with big cricketers from Mumbai displaying their talents in the tournament. With Rohit Sharma as the Brand Ambassador, the league saw the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw and others representing various teams. Some of these big names have done well, and some have flopped as the tournament goes towards the Knockout stage from June 10 (Tuesday).
Here are some notable IPL stars who have failed to perform in the T20 Mumbai:
Batting: 2 inns, 10 runs, 5.0 average, 111 SR
Bowling: 3 inns, 7 overs, 2 wickets, 10.6 economy, 21.0 bowl SR
Shivam Dube's poor run from IPL 2025 has continued in T20 Mumbai. The CSK star led the ARCS Anderi side for three games, managing to win only one of them. He managed only 10 runs in the two games in which he came out to bat.
He struggled to pick wickets with the ball as well as the right-arm medium pacer managed just 2 scalps in three innings, going at 10.6 per over. The ARCS Andheri team managed to win only one game and finished at the bottom of the table.
Batting: 3 inns, 49 runs, 16.33 average, 111 SR
Shreyas Iyer might still be trying to get over the IPL Final heartbreak as the PBKS batter is yet to perform for his team, SoBo Mumbai Falcons. The Sarpanch, as he is fondly called by PBKS supporters, joined from the second game and has managed just 49 runs in three innings. Apart from a 14-ball 25 against Eagle Thane Strikers that ended in a loss, Iyer is yet to deliver a match-winning performance in the tournament.
As the SoBo Mumbai Falcons have qualified for the Semis as the table toppers, Iyer will be expected to come good at least in the Knockout games.
Batting: 5 inns, 111 runs, 27.75 SR, 123 SR, 42 HS
Angkrish Raghuvanshi, the 21-year-old IPL sensation, has not had a good edition of T20 Mumbai. The KKR batter representing SoBo Mumbai Falcons managed to score only 111 runs in five league stage games. He scored at a below-par SR of 123, managing just one six.
Even though the star batter failed to perform, the SoBo Mumbai Falcons have managed to qualify for the semi-final. Raghuvanshi will be hoping to come good in the big games and live up to his potential.
Batting: 3 inns, 59 runs, 169 SR, 49* HS
Bowling: 3 inns, 6 overs, 1 wicket, 14.3 economy
Suryansh Shedge has had a terrible time in the T20 Mumbai League, as the all-rounder has not made any impact with bat or ball. Representing Triumph Knights, Shedge scored an unbeaten 49 in 21 balls against SoBo Mumbai Falcons that ended up in a losing cause.
With the ball, he has bowled a couple of the most expensive overs in the competition, conceding 23 runs against Bandra Blasters and 19 runs against Eagle Thane Strikers. Like IPL 2025, he has failed to deliver on the hype in this competition as well.
